About our Summer Expedition 2026!

This summer, our Explorers are heading on a road trip across Europe to Kandersteg International Scout Centre (KISC) in Switzerland.
We’ll be travelling through Belgium, Luxembourg, France and Germany before reaching the Swiss Alps – stopping to explore towns and cities along the way. KISC is a permanent mini-jamboree, focused on international friendship, alpine adventure activities, and experiencing Swiss culture in the heart of the mountains.
We gave the team the challenge of fundraising a portion of the funds for this trip, giving them ownership, the chance to be creative with the fundraising and the opportunity to gain real-life experience in teamwork, planning and event management.
It’s an amazing opportunity to meet new people, explore new cities and try out some exciting adventurous activities. It’s also an important part of the Explorer programme, helping our young people work towards their King Scout Award – the highest award a young person can earn in Scouts.
